Step Stool

The 2nd build along project was intended to introduce new people into woodworking. Tommy shot the podcast series with his girlfriend Rachel who was a complete rookie, who followed instruction and completed the project. They had a lot of fun with another crop of enthusiastic woodworkers, building the stool through The 207 Forum along with inviting other woodworking blogs to join in. It was such a success that Fine Woodworking Magazine featured the build in an article in their January 09 issue. Tommy also had a great time with the Boys and Girls Club from the Marr Center from Tommy's old neighborhood in Dorchester, MA. This project is intended to get interested people involved in woodworking without having to spend a small fortune on new tools. The video along with the procedure, stock, and tool list are all you need to start producing some great hand cut dovetails.
